I have missed travel so much! Over the holidays we took a family trip to Blackberry Mountain near Knoxville, TN. It was wonderful to get away for a little while.
Blackberry Mountain was amazing! They offer activities for everyone from wellness to outdoor adventures to relaxing with inspiring views. We stayed in the Watchman cabins that sit above the main complex. The views from that height were truly breathtaking.
The food was excellent, the accommodations were luxuriously cozy, and the atmosphere was serene as well as invigorating. Brad loved the outdoor activities and the kids had a great time making smores.
My favorite moments included watching my nephew rock climbing for the first time. He had the best time and it was so wonderful to watch the excitement through his eyes and experience it for the first time. I loved the spa and wish now I had scheduled a full day of treatments. I had an incredible pedicure. Your feet are placed in a cooling, healing mud bath to increase circulation in your legs.
Blackberry also provided a unique spa experience called a Sound Bath. This healing practice allowed us to experience deep relaxation through the vibration of sound. While laying on a mat, you are surrounded by the sound of musical instruments to relax and quiet your mind.
The resort provides as detailed an itinerary as you want and allows you to customize your vacation. I highly recommend Blackberry Mountain, your own private national park.
