Easter Party
My friend, Mary Cox Brown (of Marigold Designs), and I met a few years ago when she first launched her flower business. I had never met Mary Cox but I quickly became interested in her work so when her sister-in-law hosted an open house - I brought my curiosity and went to see what she was all about. I continued to love her work so we did a couple of projects together and became fast friends.
Since then we have traveled together and come to see that we like the same things. She was an unexpected new friend and we have bonded over so many similarities, I am so thankful for her! Neither of us have children of our own, but Mary Cox Brown and I share our love for our godchildren and the children in our lives.
We absolutely love to spoil them when we can and then go about our business as usual, we like to call ourselves the “fairy” godmothers. Last year, we had this idea to host an easter egg hunt, to invite all of our friends and their kids, and for it to be our gift to them. We both love to host and entertain so we were excited to get to show our love in this way. We really tried to pay attention to the details starting with invitations by Holly Hollon who also designed coordinated coloring sheets for the kids for the day. Everyone walked through a huge statement balloon arch that people loved. With the Easter egg hunt, candy bar grazing board, and games it turned into a really fun afternoon.
