Christmas Traditions: Holiday Tablescapes

Have you started thinking or preparing what your holiday table will look like this year? Do you lay awake in the middle of the night and dream or scheme about it like I do - it has happened lately, giving me something happy to think about. Well if you don't, don't worry because I have you covered!

I usually like to start by selecting the dinner plates first, and then work to add in different pieces that work well with the plates to create an overall look.

Try layering linens this holiday season, giving your table depth and interest. I personally love to use vintage linens for a touch of history and nostalgia.

Candles can also add to the festive atmosphere, but be careful about using strong scented candles. They can overpower your feast quickly!

My biggest trick to setting the perfect holiday table is to always add a fun unexpected element. Whether it is big or small, adding a fun napkin ring, a non-traditional name place, or a unique centerpiece can complete your table in the best way!

And don’t forget the children’s table! That is a great place to add fun, whimsical elements to create a special place for the little ones.

Whether your style is traditional, modern, or whimsical, have fun with your table. Shop these similar looks and build your best holiday table.
